Tory Von Jones
Our friend and branch member, Tory Von Jones, passed away at Quail Creek on August 4, 2011 at a boating activity with friends. We were all shocked and heartbroken at the news. Tory is only 17 years old. He moved here a few months ago to live with his Grandma and Grandpa (Von and Betty Jones) who are members of our branch. He is a delightful young man and has grown leaps and bounds in the gospel since he has been here. Our youth and youth leaders have gotten to know him well through these past two Youth Conferences and other Youth activities from our branch and ward.
Tory was outgoing and fun and a friend to everyone. He had so much fun at our Deaf Branch Youth Conference and laughingly told us about all of the pranks he and his friends played on the girls. He had picked up on sign language so quickly (his Grandpa is deaf) and we were all amazed at the youth talk he gave in ASL a few weeks ago. He also had a wonderful time at the hearing youth conference and made dozens of friends Here are some pictures of him with some of his friends at our Deaf Branch Youth Conference.
